Our Life Insurance client, based on the west coast of Ireland, requires a Qualified Life Actuary (newly qualified to several years PQE) with broad experience across reporting, modelling and product development to support the implementation of a new business strategy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a contract role that comes with a great work-life balance.

Our Life Insurance client, based on the west coast of Ireland, requires a Qualified Life Actuary (newly qualified to several years PQE) with broad experience across reporting, modelling and product development to support the implementation of a new business strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified actuary with a well rounded skill set who can apply themselves to cross-functional work.

There is potential for a permanent position if desired.

Location: West Cost of Ireland with 2/3 days remote working available

Start: ASAP

Rate: Daily Rate or Fixed-Term contract (On discussion)

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Actuarial team to support the implementation of new company strategy.
  • Work with senior stakeholders including Head of Product Development, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Actuarial Function
  • Support with Launch of new product launches, improvment of existing products
  • Support financial projections in the new strateg - stress and scenario testing, ORSA and financial validation.
  • Help develop reporting of performance metrics
  • Develop and enhance actuarial models and data governance

Desired Skillset & Experience:

  • Qualified Life Actuary (newly qualified to several years PQE)
  • Strong modelling Skills - Excel
  • Programming skills are desirable (e.g. SQL/R/Python)
  • Expreience of working on Projects
  • Knowledge of Solvency II
