Overview of your role

You will lead a medium to large project team of internal and/or external resources for a Global Leading Insurance Company to deliver specified program/project products to time, cost and quality targets. Projects are likely to be large or complex and will involve significant benefit/risk to the business. These projects may be standalone within a portfolio or may comprise a substantial workstream within a larger program.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and actively manage project plans in line with project management standards to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget;
  • Manage delivery against project plan, monitoring progress and taking action to ensure delivery remains on track and within budget;
  • Provide input into business case initiatives and ensure that all associated costs, risks and plans are incorporated;
  • Integrate activities, identifying and managing interdependencies (within and outside the project) so as to ensure coordinated delivery;
  • Manage relationships with a range of internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, defining business requirements, agreeing terms and ensuring delivery;
  • Plan and manage internal and external project resources (financial, human, technological etc.) to ensure delivery of project outputs to time, cost and quality criteria;
  • Identify financial and operating risks and issues affecting the project, putting measures in place to manage and control;
  • Agree and implement project reporting and control processes in line with project management standards;
  • Manage in a hands-on way other resources to ensure delivery of program/project outputs to Plan timescales;
  • Continually seek out relevant industry and technical knowledge and improve on professional skills by completing necessary development activities

Skill Set

  • Proficient in project planning, progress control & reporting, change management, risk management, quality management, resource management;
  • Industry project management certifications preferred, e.g. PMP, Agile;
  • With at least 12 years' experience in managing projects; experience in managing Health & Wellness, IT, digital, mobile and insurance Operations projects a plus;
  • Experience in Agile environment, customer experience, digitization of distribution channels in Life insurance are advantageous;
  • Strong ownership in leadership skill in managing relationships with senior management team;
  • Stakeholder management, especially impactful communication, influencing, and arbitration;
  • Demonstrated successful records of rapidly building relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication with strong oral, written and presentation skills, strong relationship management capabilities;
  • The ability to work with diverse and geographically dispersed business and teams;
  • Rigorous, autonomous, organized, committed, transparent
