Seeking an outstanding individual for new multi-manager fund to work closely with the CIO and senior management team. At its core, this role is about seamlessly integrating new trading talent into the business, from PM selection, technology customisation, risk management to strategy optimisation. It is a critical role for the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to work with the senior management team to assess, on-board and then integrate each new PM into the firm, including:
  • coordinate the management and assessment of standard testing
  • manage the process for analysing pre-existing trading data, and report the summary investment biases to the CIO
  • Work with and co-ordinate the specialist teams and the PMs to understand in detail how they make money. What resource does a portfolio manager need to support his/her process? What are the investment biases? What is the current mind-set? Does the personality marry with the investment style?
  • Work with the specialist teams to manage the process of helping PM
  • To build conviction in their process
  • Understand the risks to the process
  • Optimise portfolio construction
  • Use technology to improve effectiveness
  • Monitor/target and review
  • Once a PM is hired, the role will have responsibility for the seamless deployment of all of the firm's technology tools
  • Work with Risk Management and the Trading Enhancement teams to optimise the process during and after each and every on-boarding
  • Ownership of the timely delivery of trading performance analysis back to the PM from specialist teams within the business to create the feedback loop for behavioural change

The Candidate

  • Strong markets and/or trading experience, with ability to drill deep into individual trading strategies, and really understand what drives both returns and risk for each PM
  • Familiarity within a long/short equity environment
  • Proven experience in working in roles which have a strong technology component
  • Excellent, proven risk management experience, with concrete track record of doing so
  • Entrepreneurial outlook, ability to work in a complex system with a myriad of interdependence's
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally
  • A strong sense of values - including discretion, diplomacy, sensitivity and tolerance
