Regional Finance PMO/ PMO Manger - Leading Insurers

I am looking for a Finance PMO/ PMO Manager to join my Insurance clients' multinational Finance Project/ Business Change team. Ideal candidates would be someone with an Accounting background or have been Finance PMO/ PM for several projects within Banking/ Insurance industries.

What is the role about

  • Support the portfolio management for key portfolios of the Finance function through the programme management office and project accounting activities

  • Assist the regional finance portfolio manager to measure project delivery against the agreed criteria reporting status to stakeholders and drive the finance governance forum to provide oversight of the finance change portfolio.

  • Working with key stakeholders across the region to manage finance portfolio demand prioritization and governance across finance deliverables, funding and resource issues.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key Finance stakeholders in delivering governance and control to these programmes and projects impacting the Finance function.

  • Holistically review the impact on people, process, systems for the finance change portfolio

  • Identify and coordinate demand for BAU and change resources across all Finance sub-functions.

  • Link up key stakeholders to present a holistic view of dependencies, and ensure continuity in the end to end closing and reporting process.

  • Ensure Finance projects adhering to Finance governance standards and methodology.

The Ideal Candidate

  • University level degree of Finance/ Accounting ideally, or previous experience as Finance PMO/ Project Accountant

  • Proven experience working with large complex organizations in a project management role.

  • Proven track record in developing solutions to business problems based on facts and data. Experience with Finance Change Management beneficial.

  • Overall financial services industry knowledge with a focus in one or more areas (retail banking, wealth management, digital, payments, commercial banking, trade)

  • Excellent facilitation skills and experience in managing stakeholder requirements and design sessions.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and navigate an organization using formal and informal networking skills.
