I am recruiting a Compliance Manager for the Risk Advisory arm of a law firm. This role sits within their Financial Regulation Advisory team who provide advice to clients across retail banking, lending, payments and insurance. They advise on policy such as SMCR, Regulatory Due Diligence, Regulatory Advice, Authorisation, Assurance, Remediation, Change in Control and Governance.
This role reports into the Compliance Director, and will suit someone who has a strong background in compliance and financial regulation. The team in Leeds is quite bottom heavy, hence the recruitment drive towards the more senior end. This firms ream in London has a number of seniors who are currently spread too thinly as they're managing the less experienced team in Leeds too. This role is an endeavour to balance things out.
The Compliance Manager will manage both a team of juniors, whilst also leading engagements and overseeing advisory work with clients. This is essentially a consultancy role, however it differs to your typical consultancy because my client are not based on client site - their clients come to them! So this role will involve meeting with clients and exploring their requirements, but the Compliance Manager will not be expected to win new business.
We are looking for someone with a strong FS background who has a good appreciation of FCA Regulations and the ability to manage projects efficiently. The work will be across retail banking, lending, payments and insurance clients. They advise on policy such as SMCR, Regulatory Due Diligence, Regulatory Advice, Authorisation, Assurance, Remediation, Change in Control and Governance.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing and developing team within a market leading law firm.
