Part or newly qualified Pensions Actuary | In-House | Pension Risk | London
I am recruiting an exceptionally unique opportunity for a part or recently qualified actuary to join an in-house Pension-Risk team.
You will be responsible for developing alternative funding and investment approaches, for monitoring internal pension risk, and for developing new risk management approaches.
You will work in tandem with advisers and other functions in relation to further developing the scheme's pension strategy.
You will also review hypotheses and judgements used by the actuaries, interpret the results, and sense-check the calculations. Further, you will prepare challenges to the assumptions being proposed by Scheme Actuaries for funding purposes.
I am looking for:
- a part or newly qualified pensions actuary
- a strong technical skillset with the ability to analyse data and develop new in-house modelling
- the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- corporate pensions experience is desirable
Add another string to the bow of your actuarial career and do get in touch. Positions like this are few and far between in the market; this is a truly exciting time for the business and a genuine opportunity to make an impact.
My client is happy to conduct interviews post-exams this April 2019.
Full role specification is available upon request.
